Our School Day

Morning session

8:50 – 12.00 -The School gates will be open from 8:45am – 8.55am

Anyone arriving after this time should enter through the school office.

Afternoon session

13:00 – 15:20

The classes organise their own timetables throughout the day. Maths and English (including phonics) are usually taught during the morning. Children are exposed to all areas of the curriculum. Where required, intervention support will be provided to enable children to reach their full potential.

Children attend assemblies towards the end of the school day. Once each week, the children have a class book club session where they have the opportunity to discuss their favourite books, look at new books and find a love of reading.

As a school, we are focusing on developing a love of reading and reading for pleasure. The children have regular opportunities to read and to listen to adults read to them. This is important to provide our children with a language rich environment.
